Ahead of Cindy and Leo’s wedding ceremony, St Kilda beach was the scene of romance and surprise when Leo made the most of a beautiful sunrise walk to ask Cindy to be his wife and on her birthday too.
Celebrating Cindy and Leo
It was while working together at a real estate firm in 2016 that this amazing couple first met.
An early start for Cindy’s birthday on January 27, 2023 saw them heading along St Kilda Beach at sunrise when Leo popped the question.
Fast forward to May 2 and they tied the knot in a classic and elegant ceremony before Mike and all their closest family and friends at Stones of the Yarra Valley.
As a personal touch Cindy and Leo also shared vows to each other in Chinese.
It was all about moves on the dancefloor for their reception with the celebratory mood taking on a “Dancing Queen” style!
Mike and the attendees could really tell these two had fallen for each other and it made the night filled with energy.
Mike Larkan – a love of weddings
Mike’s history with being involved in weddings goes way back to his teenage years when he played guitar in a wedding band.
The association with weddings continued in his 20’s as a wedding DJ and by his 30’s, Mike had moved on to MC duties.
While reading the weather became a big focus for Mike for many years, his love of weddings remained strong.
Mike is very much a sought after registered civil celebrant for many lucky couples, just like Cindy and Leo, in and around Melbourne today.
